What do I need to run Jefi Shot?

A Mac running macOS 15.2 or later, with Apple silicon or Intel. Record on a Retina display for the sharpest zooms.

Which permissions does it ask for?

Screen Recording, to capture your window. Accessibility is optional: it lets Jefi Shot track where you type (never what), resize windows, and let you or the agent drive the app from the preview. The microphone and camera are only used if you turn them on.

Where do my recordings go?

Into ~/Movies/Jefi Shot on your Mac. Each project keeps the original recording untouched and saves your edits beside it. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no Jefi account.

Do I need an AI subscription?

Only for the agent features, and only your own: the assistant uses your Codex or Claude Code sign-in. Recording, auto zoom, editing, captions and redaction all work without it.

How does the trial work?

Use everything for 14 days, no card and no account. After that, recording and exporting need a licence key; your recordings still open and edit either way.

Is this a subscription?

No. Jefi Shot is a one-time purchase, $29, or $19 while the founding licences last, for up to three of your Macs.

Auto zoom

Jefi Shot watches where you click and type, and builds the zooms for you. They follow the smoothed cursor, or the text caret while you type, and stay inside the picture near the edges. Move, resize or add one on the zoom track whenever you want it different.

Typing is tracked only as when and where: the keys themselves are never recorded.

Design

A frame that fits wherever it goes.

Pick a gradient backdrop, set the padding, corners and shadow, and choose a shape: 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Reels and TikTok, square for LinkedIn. Every change shows straight away in the preview.

Script to demo

Describe the demo. An agent records it.

Tell the assistant what to show, or paste the steps. It rehearses, then drives your app and records the take at a natural pace, with step markers that become YouTube chapters. Its cursor is drawn separately, so your own pointer stays where you left it.

No account. No uploads.

Recordings live in your Movies folder and never leave your Mac. Before you share, redaction finds emails, API keys, card numbers, IP addresses and phone numbers in the picture and blurs, pixelates or boxes them. Captions are transcribed on your Mac too.
